Robert gave stories from his own experience that are relatable for first responders regarding mental health and how it can affect us over time and how we tend to bury our feelings until it may be too late. He goes on to explain how we need to take steps to break the common culture of "I'm fine" and work on our mental health more pro-actively.

“It helps open your eyes to what you’re going through. I know I have issues I need to deal with and I don’t tell my wife about it because of what she went through with her dad. This made me realize I need to let her know what I’m dealing with.”
